8 minutes for 4.2GB at x1 speed?? I find similar amounts of info take about an hour at this speed, and then another hour to verify. Also using Toast Titanium, Mac Powerbook G4 OS 10.3.3. It makes no difference whether the files are RAW or not. I've never had a 4 hour verifying time, even with a fully loaded DVD, so I'd suggest that something wasn't right.
