Not sure if it works on Microdrives, but Lexar's Image Rescue software has just been upgraded to v2.0, and has got me out of a similar hole. Works fine on standard Lexar CF cards, but you may want to check with Lexar before applying it to a microdrive. Comes free when you but any Lexar card, and (I think) is available as a free download from their site.
