I guess then you should be looking also at the Kodak Pro SLRc camera as it is half the price of a full frame Canon. It is a full 24 x 36 frame so lenses are the same as a film camera in use and uses EOS fit lenses. You will get a 38mb file from the SLRc - enough to satisfy pretty much any brief.
As regards the fringing, do not necessarily blame the camera as it can only record what falls on to the sensor. Seems like that lens may have severe Chromatic Abbertion and that will certainly not improve with a full frame camera. You may have to consider upgrading lenses if you go digital because what was ok on film may not be up to the very sensitive sensor performance! =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
