This string would go into your Mac: OS X System Prefs/Network/ (or PDA setup if you like travelling light) and you are using the 6310i as the modem.

When using GPRS with Orange you won't be dialing into your usual ISP: you will be using Orange GPRS as the ISP, hence the token dial *99# to get into their system.

Bear in mind that although there is no charge for being connected all day, you do get charged by the MB for stuff you download or upload.

(By the way, if you call Orange data tech support they are very helpful and can help far more than I can! I've only used it once, many moons ago <g>)

I'm trying to do this as well - I upgraded to GPRS a couple of days ago, I saved their updater text but still connect at 9600.
Where do you put this modem string (in the phone, in the Mac?). And how does the "Dial *99#" sit alongside one's ISP number? (I'm on the same hardware set up as Simon).
