If I custom profile my 1290 I expect to get stronger reds, but will they be

Many thanks in advance for any help!

In my experience with custom profiled printers from at least two suppliers, I have never achieved rich reds with Lyson and would have serious doubts with the more matt Hahnemuhle. The reds look sort of red, but are always very flat compared with anything on a profiled screen. I checked out the prints on the Lyson stand at Focus this year, with specific interest in reds and couldn't find any prints on fine-art papers that you could truly call rich post box red. I have similar issues with the Ultrachromes, again profiled for the 7600. I get the 'appearance of reds' but not really true to screen.

Sorry if this is bad news!
