Dear Jeff

As one of those who lost goodness knows how many man-hours and well over 500 on Jaz drives I won't be touching any 'new' technology from Iomega. Wasn't there a fictional Hollywood film based on the Jaz debacle?

I've been seeing several posts relating to image storage and archiving images lately - was wondering if anyone has seen the recently the press releases from Iomega about their new removable storage system using 90GB cartridges that look remarkably like the Jaz cartridges we used - and still are in use for sneaker-net applications in our studios. The Jaz disks were true hard drive mechanisms in a removable cartridge system. Pricing announced for the cartridges was similar to the cost of a 1GB Jaz cartiridge - about $69.00 ea or a 4 pack for $199.

Seems like it would be an excellent means of providing a redundant long term storage option - perhaps use in conjunction with DVD or CD storage.
