As mentioned I only got a 5 to 10 minute test with the Mk2 and its flash but I shot on manual, metering for the sky making a complete silhouette of a back lit model and shot on evaluative metering with off camera TTL and a transmitter, the model was about 1/8 of the frame and the balance was perfect. Also shot fully auto inside with moving subject at 1/15 second and again got a good balance of ambient and flash. The Mk2 was not fooled by back lit subjects, with a model in front of a large window I exposed for the outside light making the model a silhouette, on evaluative metering and without any flash compensation applied it got it pretty much spot on and that was with the model again off centre and about 1/4 of the frame. I have tried using the FEI method but it is really not very practical for moving subjects (reportage). The back focus button works OK so the focus point does not dictate the exposure and you gat a more averaged flash exposure if using evaluative of average metering even so it is pretty hard to get a predictable result.
