This is true - although our experience is more windows related. We find that there is a small difference between win 98 etc and win 2000, and again to win XP. In fact, there is a built in driver to win XP for the Epsn 1290 which produces really magenta casting issues. In reality, as long as you are using 1 specific release of a driver, you'll more than likely be OK. Matt
