I have now been shooting digitally ( professionally) for over 10 years
., firstly with a Dicomed scanning back which is now gathering dust in my
safe and then with various models of lightphase up til now when I am
shooting with the H25. I have always done a grey balance before shooting but
have never specifically profiled any camera system. My monitors are
calibrated as are my printers and I work in Adobe RGB clourspace with
occasional cmyk outputs for those informed clients who ask for it and supply
the info for accurate profiling.
Having given this info why should I calibrate my camera recording system
as I shall immediately be working in Adobe RGB and can easily check my
greys,and/or other colours in that space ?
I would welcome an explanation.
