When using the CS Kodak FFM plug-in a Kodak Raw file takes about 75 - 80 secs to open into Photoshop which is ineed a long time but given the file size it is understandable I suppose.
Best thing to do is create an action which does just that plus any auto-leveling etc which you feel you might want to do and set it going before retiring for nice soothing bottle of wine. Not sure whether its my photography or the wine but the results seem to please the clients!
