Personally, I would upgrade to Photoshop CS and meet its requirements rather
than downgrade the requirements to suit an older version. You are missing
out on a lot of time saving features (all of them listed on the Adobe
website and various sites devoted to Photoshop).

Regarding Pentium M or 4, I think you'd be better off asking that kind of
question on the Adobe forum for Photoshop, where a lot of Adobe techheads
hang out, or even their tech or sales department; no disrespect to the list
is meant or implied. True, some Adobe techheads do hang around here but they
seldom, if ever, post (Russell Williams being an exception).

My gut feeling is it will run on any machine that can run Win2000 or WinXP,
regardless of whether it's using an Intel or AMD processor. Whether it will
run as fast or problem free as the recommended processor, is another matter.

Don't forget, Photoshop CS is almost a year old. As software life expectancy
goes, that is positively creaking at the joints and ready for that final
journey into the country from whence no man, woman, creature or thingmyjig
returns.
