I am aware that there are technical reasons against doing this but I have always had 
good results in using a decently printed IT8 target & Monaco profiler.  There is a 
huge difference in image quality between our product shots taken before I took this 
on-board, and how they are now.  If anyone wants an example, mail me off-list.

I have asked the same question (ie if anyone other than Bruce of course) has
had any success with this method - the absence of any positive responses
does not bode well.
