Hi Ivan My Imacon Flextight 848 did this once but it was my error as I chose the wrong film holder in the drop down menu.
I was advised to switch off scanner and unplug the power and Firewire cables etc, gently lie the scanner on it's back on a towel or something soft to prevent damage etc. There ar 4 screws on the base itself which when removed allow you to retrieve the film/holder etc. Finally assemble 4 screws, place as normal and all should be okay.
