Thanks for the interest in my EXIF data.

Yes, I'm wanting to stop other people seeing my EXIF data (shutter speed,
aperture values, camera and lenses used etc). In my opinion that data is
personal to me. If however somebody had a very good reason to see that data
then I would always be in a position to produce the original camera file
containing ALL original EXIF data.

Understand this, I'm not attempting to change any data, I'm merely keeping
it to myself. Therefore, I would not be committing a fraudulent act as far
as I'm aware.

I would like to point out the following. In the many years that I've been in
photography and in the days of film, I have never been asked for the make of
camera / lenses or to produce the settings I used. I know plenty other
photographers and have also worked for a great many in the past. I've never
known anybody request that information. It just doesn't happen to my
knowledge.

Therefore, what has changed now in this digital age and why would 'those
groups' all of a sudden want that kind of information to hand ? I can't see
how it might be relevant to them, especially in the light of my film
argument.
