THe King of Empirical Approach has succesfully used vacuum cleaners to clean
sensors. Setting yourself in a previously wetted and cleaned desk area , and
comfortably still, letting the air dust particles to settle before opening
the camera, moving as slowly as possible to avoid agitation of said dust
particles, you then proceed to vacuum the sensor area, taking good care of
not touching the thing. THere are battery operated vacuum tools that make
the job wonderfully.
