Hi All

While most of my work is still done on film, I do get the odd digital
commission.
Today a client asks for digital "because it is quicker and saves us
scanning"
Great, that's almost exactly how I pitch digital

I then ask, do you want sharpened or unsharpened files?

Blank looks (Client is a graphic design company)

I explain that sharpening is best done as the last part of the job, just
before sending to print
i.e do all the resizing etc. first, then apply USM according to output size

More blank looks, and "Is that a filter in Photoshop, then?"

So, I am going to supply unsharpened files, and let them apply whatever USM
they feel is right for output size

I am shooting on a Fuji S2, and the shot will be used as an A3 cover, and it
is quite possible they will crop the original file

Am I doing the right thing here? Am I right to be somewhat concerned?
