Mmmm, yes you're right to be concerned, but all you can do - if you're
prepared to - is act as educator as well as photographer.
I tend to supply unsharpened files along with a Read Me! file stating what I
have or haven't done to the files. I also include a disclaimer stating that
anyone who plays around with the files does so at their own risk and that I
cannot take any responsibility for the results! <g>.
The one thing that does stand out though, is how few designers/agencies
understand what USM is for and how to use it, and these are the people who
have been sending our scanned transparencies off to print for years!
It's all a bit scary! <g>
