For us poor smudgers stuck out in the sticks would you please give more
information about 'alien bees'.  I am in Nottingham (UK) and have never
heard of them.

I agree here. I have a full set of Hensel strobes, but most of the
time I just use the AlienBees. I had one issue with the sync cables
they delivered with the flashes, 7 of 8 cables were dead on arrival.

The support (they are very good!) told me that they just changed the
company who made them for AlienBees and that they will send me
replacements free of charge, but I had enough cables here anyway.

For the price, the AlienBees are quite amazing. Highly recommended.
