The best thing about them seems to be the price of the portable power pack, couple that with the radios and they seem reasonably priced... but after customs and excise have taken their fat slice, maybe not so great.
AFAIK, there is no other lighting system which combines remote control of power levels of multiple lights with portable power. For large interiors that would be very nice to have indeed. It would saved me 45 mins of cabling and tweaking on a job last week.
I guess also that there is a certain kind of photographer for whom having garish pink and green lights would be a major advantage :) Sadly I'd need gloomy black ones :(
