I can't work out why he appears to be so negative about the whole issue. If he doesn't want to convert all his RAW images to DNG I'm sure no-one will force him to! To my mind Adobe have come up with an elegant solution to a problem that has concerned many photographers, and the issue of what exactly the DNG file is under the hood is maybe interesting, but rather irrelevant, if it solves the problems we all worry about. The converter has only been out a couple of days give it a chance!
