Hi Becky,

Epsons are notorious for colour casts in BW printing. Some people
have successfully used Black Only printing (BO) and doing a Google
for that gives many links, including this one:

Many people seem to use Ebony inks for BO printing.

We have opted for the Image Print RIP solution using Ultrachrome inks
and are very happy with the results. BW printing on gloss and semi-
gloss media tend to be less successful, due to bronzing issues,
unless you are going to coat with Conservator's wax.

On the other hand, using soft proof profiling for BW is not
impossible, but more tricky that colour. The Image Print yahoo group
has full instructions on this, but does only apply to that RIP.

I hope this helps,

Ellie
