I'm learning a new mail client so apologies if this message has been sent twice.
I have been experimenting with the 2100 and B&W for 18 months. I have tried 1) Profiling (wont cut it, as it uses all the inks and the yellow causes metamerism) 2) Grey Balancer (similar to 1... ) 3) Piezography drivers and carbon quad inks (v. good but expensive, complicated and prone to failures) Now I have found a solution, the QuadTone RIP which is shareware for $50. The nice thing is you can try it for free to see if you like it. This is from http://harrington.com/QuadToneRIP.html It uses the 2100 inks but avoids the colours which cause the problems. You can tune it to get selenium tone or cool looks. It might be even better with Quad inks, but for pure ease of use on 2100 and Epson printers I think that it takes a lot of beating. -----Original message----- From: "Becky Hill" [EMAIL PROTECTED] > I'm struggling to get good black and white prints from my epson 2100 PRW Freeman www.architecturalimages.co.uk mobile : +44 (0)7973 165 360 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
