Until they make holographic imaging availble to the masses. People will still make print ads, people will still get married and want wedding photos.

Hi Michael

If you can get hold of a copy of New Scientist (October 11th 2004) then you'll find out about a company that is already working on holographic for the masses and other interesting digital developments. That edition of the magazine has a set of articles dedicated to new directions in digital photography. Lenses made of water, hyperspectral imaging, and how we might have scoffed at the poor quality of camera phones but they having an impact on our lives, and some businesses.

As to the future of photography? It only hints at where it all might leave the professional photographer.

BTW. I remember ( a good few years ago, possibly ten ) reading about a new chip being developed called a CMOS. The magazine was New Scientist (back then it hinted at the use of the new chip in a mobile phone! ). Scary or what? :-)

kindest regards
