You go down the Epson 2100 path at your own peril. It is the thirstiest machine with the smallest ink cartridges in the business. You WILL need a second mortgage to keep it stocked with ink. There is absolutely no point buying an Ultrachrome printer and installing a CIS. The only reason for buying the Epson 2100 would be to have access to Epsons Ultrachrome inkset - i.e. Long life etc If you are going to install a CIS, buy the Epson 1290s.
