Nothing wrong with Lyson ink... But why pay the premium for an Epson 2100

It is a faster printer, I think.

I bought the 2100 and was a bit disappointed in its general performance on various media. It was quick but didn't like gloss paper and wasn't overly happy with my fine art paper either. Since the inksets were costing ***huge*** amounts (Light Magenta ran out every few A3 prints) and I was intending to profile my papers I went the whole hog and CISed up. Less than a year later it has saved more money than it cost compared with restocking with Epson cartridges. The prints are lovely, and a couple placed in a sunlit room in my house have not faded AFAIKS.

Sure, savings due to the CIS could be substantial, but I have not found
anyone who is using the Lyson PhotoChrome inkset as opposed to the Epson
Ultrachrome

Maybe someone on ProDig is ????????

cheers
