My Epson 2100 carts do not have any ink capacity marked on them. So presumably there is no case to answer. Nor have my 1270, 1290, or R800 carts. Perhaps it is an American problem.
Traditionally the 'pint' of beer included the 'head', so you didn't get a full pint of beer!

All that makes sense. However, to say a cart contains 17ml when only 12-14ml
is useable is misleading to say the least. Surely there's a case to be
answered before trading standards? They should advertise the useable
percentage and not the percentage used by their flawed design. <g>
If you go into a bar and order a pint, you expect a pint and not 3/4's.
