I think the 20d finally gets everything right in the under-$2K segment: the image quality is great (though not a huge jump over existing 6MP models), but the handling and speed and AF are finally up to film SLR standards. I shot with a D60 and was constantly frustrated with the AF -- it was far inferior even to a $350 Elan 7, let alone an EOS 3. When I shot on the street with a D60, 10D or dRebel, I was reflexively touching the shutter release every few seconds to keep it from going to sleep, because if it went to sleep I'd be guaranteed to miss the next shot.
The 20d fixes all these problems. Of perhaps less interest to this list, it takes EF-S lenses, and the two that were introduced (17-85 IS and 10-22) finally match my favorite film focal lengths. EF-S means more wide angle options. Russell =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
