Is it possible that my internal DVDrom drive is too slow to 'feed' the writer? I have tried a slower write speed and it still fails.
Does the Lacie drive support buffer underrun protection? Make sure Toast has the setting on.
I wouldn't be surprised if the DVD-Rom would be too slow for the job, but with the underrun protection you should be alright, I suppose.
