Joanna, I use a D70 and have experienced really severe moire on a couple of occasions, mainly with beige/mushroom coloured fabrics. A colleague with a D100 has had the same problem with similar colours. Mild moire I correct in PShop by the usual method of blurring the offending channel slightly. However the only way I could get rid of the severe beige/mushroom moire which effects every channel very strongly was by using the demoire tool in Nikon Capture 4. I don't know how it works but it does. Perhaps someone using nikon Capture 4 can tell you if it works with files from other cameras. My trial has expired and is no longer functional. I wouldn't use it enough (I think) to justify its rather high price. Shame Nikon, why doesn't your software have a trial version that prints DEMO on the files like other SWare after the 30 days expires, far more useful in assesing the capabilities of complex Software?
----- Original Message ----- From: "Joanna Plumbe" <joanna at plumbephotography.co.uk> I'm concerned about moire patterns as on this occasion it would matter a lot. Is there a solution to this on 1Ds's, or is it a case of blowing the dust off my film cameras? =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
