I am currently testing an Eizo CG21, rrp 1300 +vat.

They have been well reported by this list, so we thought we would appraise
one.

It only arrived today, so these findings are preliminary.

We have set it up on an Apple Mac G4 Powerbook and profiled using EyeOne
display 2 / EyeOne match 3.0.1

Initial findings show that it is a very capable display with many hardware
controls for accurate colour work. However, we have a number of concerns.

1. Luminance values from different areas of the display vary from 113.7 -
141.3.

2. A greyscale 38-step-wedge in photoshop after profiling shows a rainbow of
shifts to green and magenta.

I will be testing this display for 1 week after which we will post a full
report on our website.

Any owners of an Eizo CG21 care to comment?

If anyone knows of any hardware settings that work better for critical
colour work I would be interested in comments - off list please.

I will be looking at a NEW Apple 30" next week and will also forward any
findings there too.

Regards,

Michael
