Tend to agree, I like digital for the lack of grain too.

Worked with Delta and T-Max films for years and close up I never liked them,
grain is always mushy. Pan-F is real 'old-school' B&W with beautiful tiny
grain. Put through ultra dilute Rodinal developer does two things, it
renders the grain razor sharp, and wraps the grain around the latent light
image. Remember, film is three-dimensional, and the result of this process
is an image that looks like its been etched into your retina. I like to
watch people react when they look at my pictures. If they get emotional,
(which they often do) I know that I am functioning properly in what I am
meant to be here for.
