Also have a look at Olympus E1, I have been happy with mine and it is in the same price range as the D70. I personally did not like the results from the D70, they needed a lot of colour correction and had a sort of undefinable 'digital' look to them. It could have been the persons settings that time, I do not know, what I do know is that the files from my E1 set on program (auto everything) go straight from the camera to the lab and print beautifully. To me that is huge a labour saving.
