I have both; I use the D100 with big lenses and the D70 for small lenses and flash. The D100 doesn't have iTTL and is slow writing to cards compared with the D70. Just been to Thailand for 2 weeks; took about 5000 shots with the D70. Thats a quarter of its shutter life gone!! Roll on the D2x and D200.

add the vertical grip and almost feels like a D1 etc. Maybe a good
