Er, no thanks. It would be inappropriate for my being an official on a list
where I do not agree with what appear to be list mom directives

I don't see where is the difficulty in understanding that
Administrative issues are not a subject of discussion in ProDig.
Administration is run in the background with the sole purpose of
keeping listees focused on the discussion on digital issues, which is
the reason for ProDig to exist.

This statement alone is a very good reason why I could not take up your kind
offer. Any list is only as good as its members are, contributing, lurking,
whatever. Some admin issues ARE of interest to everyone. If list members
need to discuss something as important as security, well I need not go on.
I only hope these promised improvements do actually work, and that the list
owner/administration will choose to tell us why it is better, what has been
done, and hey, even ask the list users their opinion - all in the public
forum of the list.

If you feel you can provide Administrative assistance, please contact
Ed, for further processing of your requests and suggestions.

Well indeed, somehow I get the impression that any comment I make, on or
off forum, would be superfluous, to the grand design, whatever that is. I
look forward to benefiting along with the rest of the list to the
undesignated 'improvements'.

        Kind regards

        Pete Jenkins
