Certainly one could argue, and if I recall correctly you do in some
chapter, that v1.0 means something entirely different to an open
source project, than a commercial one, so maybe your right.
At the very least, a German reader could grasp all concepts in the
book, if she wanted, even if it weren't as pleasant a reading
experience, as I wish it were.
The first few chapters shouldn't be too bad though and hopefully by
then the reader will have been "drawn in".
