Hi all,
PloneGazette is good newsletter product for Plone. I'm using it for
sending newsletter to about 4500 users every month. It is fast, easy,
subscribing for anonymous users is simple.
I'm not sure who is maintaining the product, but there are several
branches with interesting functionality which should be merged.
We (Pilot Systems) developed it first and published it a while ago on
the Collective, and then used to maintain it.
There are 11 branches and
Indeed. Users began to contribute (and we appreciate that) but
created several branches without even sending us a short e-mail about
it. Also, several of these branches do not even describe their purpose
(some seems to consider that naming the branch is all the documentation
that is needed). All this defeats the purpose of contributing, in my

I've tried to review them a bit.
This is a very great work we were not eager to do, alas. Thanks.

So, if you are interested in PloneGazette, please vote :)
Should I commit merged version into trunk?
Should I create another branch ? (review branch)

I think you should remove as many branches as you can, and merge them
in the trunk.
FWIW, we (Pilot Systems) are interested in an Archetypes-based
newsletter product that is compatible with Plone 3. That could be done
either by rewriting PloneGazette from scratch (reusing parts of it or
parts of other products, if it is pertinent) and/or contributing to
other existing products if they fit our needs.
