I think you should remove as many branches as you can, and merge them
in the trunk.
Ok, I will merge branches to trunk separately, one by one, and move
merged branches to 'branches/obsolete' folder. I will do it during this
week.
FWIW, we (Pilot Systems) are interested in an Archetypes-based
newsletter product that is compatible with Plone 3. That could be done
either by rewriting PloneGazette from scratch (reusing parts of it or
parts of other products, if it is pertinent) and/or contributing to
other existing products if they fit our needs.

That would be great too. I'd suggest Plone3+ only product. PloneGazette
should stay 2.5 compatible.
