Here is a rough idea without testing or looking into it in detail:

You customize the navigation and/or section with a i18n:translate tag,
e.g. (copied from viewlets/sections.pt):

            <a href="" 
               i18n:translate=""
               tal:content="tab/name"
               tal:attributes="href tab/url;
                               title tab/description|nothing"> ...


You may also add a i18n:domain.

To be consistent you can also add a customized folder view with the same
approach for title and description. Then you add i18n files with your
translations.
