Uhum ... the only one of the list that requires a person to take an overt (and uncomfortable, to some) action is the motorcycle helmet law. Not in all states, though. Myrtle Beach had tons of people running around on bikes without helmets, and it's easy to see how much more pleasurable experience riding a bike is without the helmet. If I had a bike, yes, I'd belly-ache about the helmet too! I'm not saying that seat belts are bad or wrong, and it's right they come built-in with all cars, and there are people who like them or feel safe with them, fine. It's the 100% of the time, no exceptions, mandatory, cop-pulls-you-over, you-get-a-ticket part that I believe went too far. More passive protection, I say! And pro-Choice here, as far as it can reasonably be taken - and then some. And making suicide against the law is like, really dumb, don't you think :) Judge: "What are you here for" Defendant: "Suicide, sir" Judge: "What are you, a wise guy?" Defendant: "no, sir" Judge: "you know what we do with guys like you?" Defendant: "no" Judge: "we string you up!" Defendant: "but ..." Judge: "Shuddup, you moron" Bill > -- Ed Leafe > -- http://leafe.com > -- http://dabodev.com > > > > > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
