They were never really taken away as few had them in the first place. I don't know anyone who has owned a gun. Fully-automatic weapons and shotguns have *never* been legal in the UK.
I see in the news that their crime is now much worse than before, criminals are now empowered to strike with no fear of facing any effective defense. You must love that.
Gun crime is much lower in the the UK than the US. The only guns I have ever seen were either being carried by soldiers or (rarely) being carried by armed police.
