Is it networked? Hibernation gets its knickers in a twist with lots of
network stuff.
If you are on an old machine there is an Intel chip patch to deal with a
problem with the variable speed/power controls.
Lastly... Hibernation is a horrible pain in the proverbial and is the
first thing I turn off.
