Raises hand.

I had one client that took out what they had because it started making
noise all the time.  It was sitting there unplugged from the wall and a
simple strip with 6 outlets was now there.

I am thinking that the gal at the desk had a space heater plugged into
it and it was drawing to much current, but that is just a guess.  No
heater was in sight.
