Maybe it's the heat, Hal. It's around 100 here, again.

I can't imagine that you've offended anyone. I for one appreciate your
thoughts and presence.

I think people only reply to posts they want to debate, correct, refute
or add to. If one is 'self-contained' and speaks for itself, then it
just ... disappears into the ether. Also, it's possible some of us are
being filtered, and that would tend to cut down responses.

Reinventing the same wheels over and over have kept money flowing into
the computer world for some time now, and it wouldn't change until some
time in the future when people get serious about standards. If history
is any guide, it wouldn't happen. Remember ADA was going to take over,
first by being gov't-wide mandated, and then eventually by everyone?
