If you had an automated update system for your own app then it would be much better, and more traditional in contemporary computer environments. I think that Mr. Babcock has posted about his updater, written in VFP, and I can bet that Charlie has his own flavor. Heck I had one long ago and far away. Following the OS vendors wishes on how to install software for a network and or personal PC should be followed. Don't know why they would waste their time making, testing and documenting this trivial concept. I have found that over the years the VFP developers have found a quick cheat to that method, and exploited it well. Maybe the newer version of OS will have those exploits closed as well?
