The kooks who think Gore is some kind of Second Coming now with all that well-orchestrated jabber about "global warming" would do well to remember that his running mate was none other than the very Lieberman they have since ostracized for being a Judas.
At least Joe was honest in and about his policy positions. That in the end is what did him in with the Democrat base. As I contemplate Al Gore in light of recent developments, I think its hard to resist the conclusion that he's sold his soul twice --- once, to be Slick's running mate and have a clear shot at the Ultimate Prize (actually working with and defending Slick & Co. was and is an ongoing process of selling one's soul); and again more recently for a second chance at the same.
