Well as long as we're reminiscing ...

I got my first Intel PC in 1986 or 1987.

It had a 4.8MHz processor and 1 MB of RAM.

It had a 5.25" floppy with 750Kb capacity and a 20Mb Hard Drive at
2400RPM that was the size of a shoebox and weighed about 8 or 9 pounds.

I tried installing 123 on it but after 5 hours gave up.

One day I was visiting Software Boutique and saw Windows 2.1 it looked
interesting so I bought it. I also bought Excel 2.0.

To make a long story short, I had Windows and Excel up and running in
about 40 minutes. After an hour, I had a spreadsheet setup for my
checkbook.

Excel came on a couple of floppies back then. Today it comes on a CD
runs at 3GHz on my P-4. It executes more code during program load than
there was in all of Windows and Excel way back when.

And my checkbook spreadsheet runs almost as fast as it did in 1988.

What is wrong with this picture?
