If they have safety problems in cars, even those that are a few years old, they have to fix them. If I choose to stay with my current car (I drive a '95 Honda), it still works as long as I maintain it.

The main problem is that people are sheep. They go along with whatever the majority of the rest of the people do without putting very much thought into it.
