There have been many such legal cases as this. One of the problems is that 'iPod' is in danger of becoming a generic term, such as Kleenex or Xerox. The only way legally to prevent that from happening is to vigorously defend all such potential infringements from the beginning.

        Yeah, it sucks, but that's lawyers for you.
