If it's a claim form the case has been settled and there will be no
appeal.  That is usually how it goes because the defendant always makes
out better that way.  Do not admit anything but feeling sorry for these
poor ignorant people so you throw them some crumbs.

We have plenty of contingency-fee lawyers here.  It depends on what kind
of case you have and how confident the lawyer is of winning.  Cases of
this type are usually contingency and the amount awarded to the lawyer
is based on a fee-application submitted to the court.  The reason the
fees run so high is that the lawyer has to maintain some contact with
the class members and charges an exorbitant amount per member.  If the
same communication was handled as direct mail, the price would be about
one-third.  The courts believe this stuff and approve the high amount.
The class members get bupkes.
