But when you know that your god is the right one, you're *helping* people by forcing them to follow him. All this diversity is the problem; what we need is government-mandated uniformity of thought and belief. Only then can we truly be free.

BTW, that's exactly the rationale used by Sayyid Q'utb, the spiritual mentor of Osama bin Laden, and is the basis for the Taliban's approach to governing.
